These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter ‘Terms and Conditions’) regulate the use of the Grupo Rio website, accessible from the address www.gruporio.pt (hereinafter ‘Grupo Rio website’).
This website is owned and managed by GRIO BUILD, CONSTRUÇÕES, LDA (hereinafter referred to as Grupo Rio), as the controller, with tax ID number 514 696 559 and head office at Edificio Baluarte Rua Engenheiro Duarte Pacheco Loja 11 4950-454 Monção, is the legitimate and exclusive owner of the Grupo Rio website.
The use of the Grupo Rio website by clients (hereinafter ‘Client’) or users (“hereinafter “User”) presupposes and implies knowledge and acceptance by the Client and User of these Terms and Conditions.
The Client and the User declare that they possess the necessary legal capacity to accept the present Terms and Conditions.
Grupo Rio reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, freely and at any time.
Provided that they comply with these Terms and Conditions and the applicable legislation, particularly the protection of copyright and intellectual property and criminal laws, the Client and the User enjoy complete freedom of use of the Grupo Rio website.
The Client and the User are solely responsible for the use they make of all the content available on or accessed from the Grupo Rio website, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
The following activities are in particular expressly prohibited:
Grupo Rio reserves the right to take any action it deems necessary to safeguard its rights in the event of a breach or attempted breach of these Terms, and may choose to suspend or block access to and use of the Grupo Rio website, without the Client or User being entitled to any compensation or indemnity as a result.

Access to and use of the Grupo Rio website is subject to interference, interruptions, disconnections or other anomalies, specifically as a result of breakdowns, overloads, line loads or other eventualities to which Grupo Rio is unaware, and the Client and User expressly recognise that Grupo Rio shall not be held liable for any potential or actual damages that may directly or indirectly result for the Client or User as a result of the occurrence of such events.
Grupo Rio does not guarantee that the Grupo Rio website will operate uninterruptedly or that it is free of errors, viruses or other harmful elements.
Grupo Rio is not responsible for any defects, incorrect functioning or incompatibility, namely with the hardware of Customers or Users, and is not obliged to provide support in its use, nor guarantee that it fulfils the purposes intended by the Customer or User.
Grupo Rio reserves the right, at any time, to add, delete or modify any of the contents of the Grupo Rio website, and the information contained therein is merely commercial and indicative and is not binding.
Grupo Rio reserves the right to prevent access to and use of the Grupo Rio website by any Customers or Users who violate any provision of these Terms and Conditions or any legal regulations, particularly with regard to the use of the Internet and its users.
Grupo Rio is not responsible for the accuracy, quality, security, legality or lawfulness, including compliance with the rules regarding copyright and related rights, regarding the content, products or services contained on the Grupo Rio website that have been provided by clients or business partners, as well as for any information contained on third-party websites to which it establishes links.
Grupo Rio is also not responsible for any acts or omissions of such third parties relating to such content, products or services, and does not guarantee that such products or services will achieve certain results intended by the Client or the User.
Grupo Rio assumes no responsibility for consequences resulting from access by Clients or Users to third party websites through links provided by Grupo Rio.
The Client or User is solely and exclusively responsible for the use they make of the Grupo Rio Website, and therefore undertakes to comply with the applicable legislation, in particular the Code of Copyright and Related Rights, the Industrial Property Code and the Computer Crime Act, as well as to act in good faith and make use that does not offend any third party rights, in particular the right to image, the right to a good name, the right to honour and privacy, and that does not constitute any attack based on race, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, political conviction or sex, that does not constitute defamation, incitement to theft, fraud, violence, terrorism, sadism, prostitution, paedophilia, and that does not use obscene, indecent or pornographic content.
The Client or User is authorised to use the contents of the Grupo Rio website solely and exclusively for the purposes for which they are intended, and is expressly prohibited from reproducing, publishing or publicly disseminating, distributing or otherwise making the contents accessible to third parties, for the purposes of public communication or commercialisation, and is also prohibited from making any alterations to the contents.
It is also expressly forbidden for the Client or User to create or introduce into the Rio Group Website any type of virus or programme that damages or contaminates it, or to advise third parties to do so.
The Client or User undertakes not to invade the privacy of other Users or Clients of the Grupo Rio Website, and undertakes, in particular, not to send unsolicited messages, not to collect, process or communicate personal data without the consent of the data subject and not to send false or misleading messages or messages that violate any legal regulations in force.
The Client or User is solely responsible for any direct or indirect damage caused to themselves, to Grupo Rio or to any third party in connection with their use of the Grupo Rio Website, and undertakes to pay any compensation that may be awarded as a result of any action, claim or judgement to which it gives rise.
The terms and conditions described extend to the social networks used by the Rio Group, for
example Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or Youtube.
The Customer or User hereby consents to the collection and computer processing of their data, where applicable, authorising Grupo Rio to enter this data in an appropriate database.
Grupo Rio is the data controller. The personal data provided by the Client or User is intended for the management of Grupo Rio clients as well as for Grupo Rio marketing actions. Under the terms of Law no. 67/98, of 26 October, Clients and Users are guaranteed access to their data, and may request in writing that it be updated, corrected or deleted, as well as the right to request at any time that their data not be used for Grupo Rio marketing actions.
